I Found The Tool to Fuel My Passion

mycalendar

This is it! My first product on Amazon.

I found an E-commerce training system that has given me the tools needed, to turn this idea into an actual product.

As a photographer, my customers were always looking for ways to display their pictures, and share with family and friends.  I remember getting a calendar from the cleaners every year, with these beautiful pictures, so I thought it would make a great gift for people to personalize the calendar with their own pictures. Voila!

This is still a work in progress, but its a start, it sells and it updates each year.  To go a step further, we donated a portion of sales for the Breast Cancer Walk.  It was so rewarding that something so small could make such an impact.

This training system has been a tool to make my dream come true.

I know there are women out there who have hidden talents, skills and ideas that you want to share with the world, but don’t know where to start.  This is why I’m sharing this journey.  If thats you, leave a comment and grab the free ebook.

Embracing The Spirit of Giving,

Spread the Red

The American Heart Association and Macy’s have teamed up to support the the fight against heart disease.  This February marks the 10th year of the “Go Red for Women“movement.  Despite a lot of progress, there’s still a long way to go because heart disease continues to be the No. 1 killer of women, taking more lives than all kinds of cancer combined.  I’m living with a survivor of three major heart attacks who decided to get educated by living healthier, learning the risks and sharing her story to help her children…thanks Mom.

This year we celebrated the movement with a day of shopping at Macy’s in red, which helped to raise awareness of heart disease.  The strength of mothers, sisters, daughters and friends, fighting side by side is more powerful than any killer. It’s time to shout louder, stand stronger and demand change.  We will continue to spread the red.

Attitude of Gratitude

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them”. John F. Kennedy

I really believe that learning to put the powerful emotion of being grateful into practice, can make life so much better.

One of my customers gave me a book called “Attitudes of Gratitude” by M.J. Ryan.  The video above has excerpts from the book

that I wanted to share with you.

It covers the “Top 12 Ways to Bring More Gratefulness in Your Life”:

  1. Practice Daily with a journal or email
  2. Create visual or auditory reminders
  3. Focus on what’s right in your life instead of whats wrong
  4. Say “thank you” to others as often as possible
  5. Make sure to include what you are thankful to yourself for
  6. Remember why you love those close to you, especially when they are annoying
  7. Compare well, when you do find yourself envying someone
  8. Give thanks for your body
  9. Have a gratitude rock
  10. In time of difficulty, look for whats right in the situation
  11. Look for the hidden blessing in challenges
  12. Imagine that this is the first day and the last of your life

I am quite thankful for those who trust me to photograph them, their children, and families, while

creating a visual narrative of their history, as people who are quite lucky to have each other.

Take some time to think about what you are thankful for.
